Skin Care

Easy Steps To Healthy Skin

Proper skin care is an essential daily regimen that should be practiced by everyone, including men. Your skin is the largest and the most exposed part of your body. It shields you from injury and dehydration; eliminates toxic and maintains your temperature; facilitates in sensory awareness and vitamin D production; and makes up the structure for the organs and tissues in your body.

Therefore, it is only right that for good skin, good products and herbal supplements are applied in order to ensure that your skin continues to function effectively, and also to help you look healthy and keep your natural glow with minimizing or eliminating the use of cosmetics.

How to Get Started

To get started taking good care of your skin, it is important for you to first identify and understand your skin type. Your skin could be dry, oily, balanced, thick or sensitive. No matter what the skin type, the basic skin care regime consists of 3 steps, which are cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Although for more severe cases consultation should be done.

The three steps require a cleanser, a toner and a moisturizer. Cleansers help to wash away any external elements such as, dirt, oil and tiny particles. You should feel absolutely fresh and re-energized after a thorough cleansing. A toner acts as a second shield to the cleanser where it eliminates any left over dirt or oil and even bacteria. Final touch is the application of the moisturizer, which provides your skin with nutrients, natural moisture and protection from UV rays.

Precautions to Take

The above-mentioned daily skin care regimen, however, will not be enough if you don't take other precautions as well, simply because our skin type is determined by genetics. Internal factors that you should consider are your diet, age, stress or anxiety levels, and hormone levels, which could change during puberty, pregnancy, or if you are under medication. External factors include the type of skin care products that you use, your environment (hot or cold weather, rainy or dry and dusty, etc.), and sun exposure.

To protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun, apply sunscreen with SPF or body lotion with AHA (alpha-hydroxyl acids). If possible, try to reduce the amount of time your skin is exposed to the sun. Taking full advantage of healthy, natural sources such as eating good quantities of vegetables and fruits to get the right balance of nutrients, and drinking plenty of water to help the skin to retain its moisture, are very important.

Beautiful and healthy skin begins with healthy care methods and practices, as well as the right balance of nutrients under the right form. It's never too late to start so go ahead and begin your healthy skin regime today!

If you like to look young... then why not get in business and spread the word.
